Charities & Causes Close to my Heart
Casa Hogar
This past June, many of you joined me for a very moving and rewarding visit to Casa Hogar, an orphanage located in Los Cabos and home to 28 spirited, kind hearted boys. True survivors in a world of grave challenges.
Casa Hogar is almost 100% operated on private donations. Unfortunately they are out of money.
Casa Hogar receives very little support from the goverment. In fact, 8 new kids were just "dropped off" to Casa Hogar this last month. This has also added a lot of financial stress to the operation. The yearly operational cost of Casa Hogar is approximately $200,000USD, which is highly efficient considering it supplies a home, schooling, staff, clothing etc. for 28 kids 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, year in year out.
In the meantime, Casa Hogar is in trouble. They are basically out of money and struggeling to make ends meet. Payroll is due tomorrow and there are also taxes that need to be paid. There are NO funds. I feel strongly that Casa Hogar survive and hope you will join me in the cause. Innocent boys lives are at stake. I know that things are tight right now for many of us. But they need help. If any of you, or if you know any Angels out there that can help, please get involved. Casa Hogar is a place of love and support for kids with no where else to go. Let us help them keep the doors open.
If you would like to help, please contact Casa Hogar website (www.casahogarcabo.com) Donations can be made on the site through paypal. If you have further questions please contact my assistant Alexandria Ashkar at AlexandriaAshkar@gmail.com
